Team WordPlay is a comedy/drama ministry team formed by Ryan O’Quinn and Chris Woolsey who are Los Angeles based professional actors. When not appearing in films, TV shows or commercials, they are committed to traveling around the country providing top quality, Biblically-driven skits, improvs and sermons to churches and youth groups!

Ryan O’Quinn is a professional actor who has appeared in films, television shows and on stages around the country. His burden to use his God-given talents led him to start this ministry team composed of other professional Christian actors to entertain and teach youth groups and churches about the love of Christ by employing humor, Bible study, comedy and drama.

Ryan has appeared in numerous TV shows and films and is recognizable from roles in Beverly Hills 90210, Third Rock from the Sun, Port Charles, 18 Wheels of Justice, Eve and Alias to name a few. He has also worked extensively as a voice actor lending his voice to movies, TV shows and cartoons. Some favorites include Shallow Hal, Levity (the voice of young Billy Bob Thornton), Vacuums (with Chevy Chase) and the voice of the dog in National Lampoon’s Holiday Reunion.

He currently performs regularly at the world-famous Improv Olympic in Hollywood.

Ryan has also written short films for various Christian production companies and writes for and stars in “FUEL”, a Bible study curriculum for teens from LifeWay Christian Resources.

He was a contributing writer for Nelson’s Annual Youth Ministry Sourcebook from Thomas Nelson Publishing.

Ryan recently completed work on the feature film “Love Lies Bleeding” with Christian Slater and is currently filming an original series for the Independent Comedy Network. Ryan can be seen and heard in various voice over projects, films and video games including Strange Wilderness with Adam Sandler, Say it in Russian with Faye Dunaway, The Little Traitor starring Alfred Molina and is a character in the video game “NBA 2008″ from Sony Computer Entertainment.

Ryan also writes and stars in the original Christian sit-com Zach and Pete.

Ryan grew up in Virginia and worked with youth in churches throughout his college years at William and Mary and afterwards on staff at the Centrifuge youth camps. After moving to L.A. to pursue his career, he continued to seek ways to use his gifts to serve the Lord.

Ryan still says acting is his occupation, but ministering is his vocation. Ryan owns Damascus Road Productions, the parent company of Team WordPlay

Chris Woolsey is a writer and actor in Los Angeles, California who has appeared in a myriad of television commercials hawking wares of all shapes and sizes like Honda cars, newspapers and your favorite sodas. He has also appeared on television series such as Boston Public, Sabrina: The Teenage Witch, General Hospital and
One On One.

Chris is also an accomplished writer and has written for such entertainment companies as Columbia/Tri-Star and Sony Television. He is also a screenwriter for films and television series and has a number of projects optioned, in development and in pre-production.

Chris is the co-author of the best selling book “The Concise Guide to Sounding Smart at Parties” published by Random House.

He has also recently appeared on such programs as Good Morning America, Inside Edition, Fox and Friends and Oprah radio.

Chris is active in his church in Santa Monica, California and has been working with children of all ages for the last ten years as an acting coach and Sunday School teacher.

He also co-writes the Bible Study curriculum for the sit-com Zach and Pete and writes and stars in “FUEL”, a Bible Study series for teenagers that challenges them to understand and articulate what they believe and apply key doctrines of the faith.
